Moderators are vitally important
It is also the first step into leadership with Proclaimers for Christ.
Here is why!
Individuals who join the social network are allowed to post in the forums. They can NOT create new forums or forum discussion topics. However, they are free to post a new comment or add to an existing discussion. As Proclaimers continues to grow we need to add on more individuals who can help us watch over the content being posted into the Forums by these new members.
Moderators have the ability to modify (tweak) or otherwise edit posts that others have put up onto the forums. Moderators are notified by e-mail when posts are written and the can review the post and if it is totally “bad” they can delete it quickly so visitors do not find it. Thank the Lord this has only has only had to happen this far once. If on the other hand, lets say a forum post is a bit offensive, or uses language that may be misunderstood or is not biblically sound. Yet the overall post is good. Then a moderator can (tweak) it a bit and let it stay. If a new moderator is uncertain they can e-mail the Proclaimers Stewards and ask them to get involved or give you advice so you grow as a better moderator.
By having Moderators it allows us to let members in the social network to have a voice with little or no constraints while still protecting the values, beliefs and morals that we all share. It is a good compromise to censorship. As we continue to grow we look to our pool of moderators for future leadership and as new potential bloggers or staff.
Are you currently active in the forums?
Have we had a chance to hear your heart in your posts?
Do you “get” what we are all about here at Proclaimers for Christ?
Do you understand the idea of Proclaim, Re-Claim, Exclaim?
Are you a born again believer who is grounded in the word?
Here is the greatest question of all… One of the greatest responsibilities the we the members of Proclaimers for Christ have is the Re-Claiming of the Lord’s Children back into the fold. Close to 80% of all those who call themselves Christian are NOT significantly involved in their Christian life. Most of them at some point felt hurt or mistreated by other well meaning believers. So, here at Proclaimers we must be very careful to always treat each other with Love, Grace and Forgiveness and be very gentle when ever we must correct actions or behavior. Leave the stronger discipline and control things to the Churches… Stronger correction should always be live, eye to eye whenever possible. Churches are better equipt to handle this and they are good at it. So here is the BIG question…
Do you feel that you can Moderate with Love, Grace and Gentle Correction protecting the feeling of the writer while helping us maintain a safe, well grounded Christ centered site?
If you answered YES to each of these questions…
and, if you are interested in learning more about being a moderator…
then please finish filling out this form and a member of the same gender (Moderators and Leadership work very hard to avoid opposite gender direct contact) who is in leadership will contact you so you can learn more ans so we can get to know you better.
