Freedom in Christ!

Share

There was a time in our lives that we all lived in bondage until someone told us of Jesus Christ, and then at that point we chose either to except Him as our personal Lord and Saviour or not to choose Him, if we chose to take and claim Him as our own then we asked Him into our heart.

And from that point on He gave us freedom to truly live totally out of bondage free from our chains and the freedom to march strait out into this world and proclaim His name to everyone.

In living in the freedom of Christ Jesus we are free from having to live under the standard of the law, this standard was broken when Jesus upon the cross said “it is finished”.  It is beautiful to be able to have this kind of freedom in our Lord, in 1 Corinthians 10:23 Paul says;

23 You say, “I am allowed to do anything”[a]—but not everything is good for you. You say, “I am allowed to do anything”—but not everything is beneficial. I believe sometimes our flesh gets in the way and we take this scripture to literal, yes we are free and we do have liberty to do and to live in freedom, but we need to keep our eyes upon Jesus, and to love one another with a pure and fervent hearts, and also to keep our lives as an open vessel because there are many who watch us everyday in what we do and say in the way we live.

There are many people who misuse Christian liberty, and abuse it to their own liking many think freedom in Christ means we can commit any sin we want, because awe Christ will forgive me, and that’s true He will but that is not the way we are to live our lives in Christ . We are to live our lives worthy to our calling and give all to Him meaning we surrender all our self will and seek His will for our lives daily, and nail our flesh to the cross.

Romans 7:5-6 When we were controlled by our old nature,[a] sinful desires were at work within us, and the law aroused these evil desires that produced a harvest of sinful deeds, resulting in death. 6 But now we have been released from the law, for we died to it and are no longer captive to its power. Now we can serve God, not in the old way of obeying the letter of the law, but in the new way of living in the Spirit.

So message to us all is to find and seek our Father and the Holy Spirit to reveal the freedom which He wants us to live for our lives, and in doing so may we find much blessing in everyday that we have and breath in the awesomeness in living for our great and eternal God. Amen
