A thought for living by is found in Psalm 103:1 Bless the Lord, O my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy name. Bless the Lord, O my soul and forget not all His benefits. Sometimes we fail to just stop and remember that we are to take time to Bless the Lord… We want the benefits, yet sometimes can be ungrateful when they come through to us… What David is basically saying is when God blesses you with something, or comes through for you no matter how small or how great, He is to be praised with a heart of thanksgiving. David in the following verses begins to just lay out the things he is grateful for to the Lord… He forgives my sin, He heals my body, He is always loving toward me, He satisfies my life with good things, that I don’t even deserve, He keeps my life refreshed and causes me to soar above my problems in life… Maybe this would be a setting of scripture that would do us good to tape to our mirror or some place where we see it to remind us to start our day off praising and thanking God for He has done and all that He is going to do! Have a great Day in the Lord!!!
